Casa Natalia is a beautiful little hotel just bursting with color and personality and (for lack of a better word) Mexican-ness. It immerses guests in culture. Local art is everywhere, hanging from the trees, on the walls of the courtyard restaurant and in each unique room. Everyone we encountered on staff treated their guests with great kindness and warmth. Our room was beautiful, private and comfortable with its own hammock on a little terrace edged with bougainvillea and hibiscus. The high ceiling made it feel extra spacious. The pool is small but beautiful, the loungers and hammocks are comfy and shaded and the margaritas go down easy. Parking is around the corner in a small private lot. Mi Cocina, the restaurant at the hotel, is very nice for lunch and dinner (closed Tuesdays) and serves a tasty breakfast. You can walk everywhere in San José Centro from the hotel, including shopping and so many good restaurants. We walked to the estuary for birdwatching one morning. It's a bit longer walk to the beach. We prefer San José to Cabo San Lucas for its quieter atmosphere and like to explore on our own, finding lunch spots and local beers. We borrowed beach chairs and ventured out to a different playa every day, walked around town, sat in the plaza and watched families out enjoying the evening with their little kids on bikes and roller skates. People playing music, eating churros, taking line dancing lessons. The last time we were in San José del Cabo, we splurged on a very stylish 5-star hotel, full of well-heeled American influencers posing for selfies and eating $50 burgers. We like Casa Natalia much better.

Amazing location! The hotel is right off the main plaza, so you get easy access to scenes of daily life in San Jose, easy access to restaurants and the art galleries, and even an easy 30-40 minute walk down to the beach (sidewalks the whole way down for those uncertain of the walk). The hotel is gorgeous and super comfortable, whether you want a drink at the bar, chill by the pool, or relax in your balcony. And there’s lots of fun art around the property to admire. We had a second floor room in the middle of the property, so we didn’t hear any of the music played elsewhere in the area during the Thursday Art Walk. We went in March, so the evenings were cool enough to sleep with our windows open. The staff is really kind and helped us organize a car to/from the airport, as well as answer our questions about how to get around town with Ubers. We were so sad to leave, but even more excited to come back!

It was located near so many restaurants, art and shops, with walking distance to the beach; yet the hotel itself was its own tropical oasis. Once you walked through the main door you forget that you are located in a very busy plaza. The hotel grounds and restaurant are lovely! The pool was perfect and relaxing. We loved the privacy and happy hour-Arturo makes a great margarita!! Kimberly was very helpful and friendly from the day we arrived to the day we left and the transportation back to the airport which was scheduled by the hotel was super clean, the driver very nice and the cost was much better than booking elsewhere. If we ever go back to San Jose del Cabo, Casa Natalia will be the place to stay again. Thank you Casa Natalia staff for making our stay so memorable!

Casa Natalia is located right on the main square of San Jose. It could not be better situated. Nevertheless it was quiet. The rooms were nice and ours was in the back and overlooked the pool and had a sweet balcony with a table and chairs and a hammock. The staff were all helpful and friendly and caring. The breakfasts were fabulous- different eggs every day or yogurt with fresh fruit and granola and fresh squeezed OJ. The restaurant was very good- but warning-- the margaritas were lethal!! :)

This place was amazing. Unfortunatly I stayed there during a hurricane, but I am so glad thats where I was! The staff really looked out for us and even gave me ice to keep my medications cool when the power/fridge went out. They made sure we were fed when the power came back on. The little bar area was a perfect place to unwind. The room was really comfortable and I loved the little outdoor seating area. I cant wait to return and enjoy everything this hotel has to offer.

Our stay at Casa Natalia was delightful. Nestled right at the heart of the plaza, the location made exploring the town a breeze. The staff were very friendly and responsive; they helped coordinate airport transportation. Our spacious and impeccably clean room, adorned with colorful decor, provided a comfortable retreat. The balcony with a hammock was a great spot to unwind.
